Armed and Unarmed Security Guards
PGS offers a wide variety of custom designed
armed and unarmed guards services to meet both
the needs of the organization and the
requirements of the government. Whether it is
guarding a dam, building, or an airfield PGS is
both capable and experienced. Whether is is
carrying a shotgun, 9mm pistol, or a pen and
paper, we have the ability to design a program
to meet your needs.
National Scope Guard Service Management
PGS has unparalleled depth and experience in
managing security programs on a National Scope
but ensuring a Local Focus. PGS and its parent
company have National or Corporate wide
agreements with 5 of the Top Six Defense
Contractors (based on FY2002 reports) and 6 of
the Top Ten.
Motor/Bike Patrol and Inspection
Motorized and Bike patrol services include a
drive-through and patrol of parking facilities
and an inspection of the building exterior,
including visual checks of doors and windows.
PGS patrol officers work from
communications-equipped vehicles that follow
varied schedules and routes. Vehicles are
clearly marked and highly visible in order to
discourage theft and vandalism.
Access Control
Access
Control services include monitoring access at
exterior control points (i.e. gates) of
employees, contractors and visitors to
facilities, maintaining logs, inspecting bags
and packages and giving directions. This may
also include summoning officers for escort,
vehicle and related fleet responsibilities,
package delivery verification. These security
officers essentially perform a function that
serves as the initial security contact for the
facility.
Surge Services
Though many of a company's events are planned
and carefully considered, other events may occur
with little or no warning, creating a security
exposure that an on-site security team would not
be able to cover on its own. In such instances,
PGS security officers can be dispatched and
coordinated in an attempt to minimize the
exposure of the client's physical and human
assets. This includes security for plant
closings, strike coverage and disaster scenes.
During the 9/11 crisis PGS expanded services for
our clients to over 150% of the normal coverage.
EMT/First Responders
Many PGS security officers are
certified in First Aid and CPR because
it is
security officers who are usually the first to
arrive on the scene in an emergency. They need
the skills and equipment necessary to ensure
that they can assist in emergency situations.
Clients can also benefit from PGS’ program that
provides officers who are certified in the use
of AEDs (Automatic External Defibrillators).
Research concludes that cardiac arrest victims
who are treated with AEDs promptly have a 90%
chance of surviving (American Red Cross).
PGS also provides
trained and licensed EMTs and First Responders
who respond to medical emergencies, evaluate the
extent of injuries, administer CPR or first aid
as necessary and summon paramedics as required.
Non-emergency medical transport services are
also available, giving quick response and timely
service. Clients benefit from on-site EMT
response, especially those in remote areas where
local EMT services are volunteer-based.
Visitor Escort
Services
Escort services can be provided for visitors,
service vendors and VIPs throughout the
facility. If needed, security officers can
conduct tours of the facility for visitors or
new employees. Officers can also provide
security safety for employees by escorting them
to parking lots and other areas of the facility
as required.
